Wowowo! Our great friends at www.smallchicago.com posted the videos of our time spent when we visited Stray Dog Recording Studios to do a session with these fine people. Many thanks to Todd and Jeff (and the rest of the crew…you know who you are, you sexy betches…) for inviting us to play and capture us live at Stray Dog. We had a blast!

Here’s An Enemy from Couple Two Tree and, as you may hear, it’s a bit of a different arrangement than what we laid down in the studio. Fun stuff!

Please be sure to visit their site as they have a crap-ton of bands on there already!

Quote from the recent review by Richard Giraldi of Loud Loop Press:

For those that thought big Midwestern hard rock had gone by the wayside, Sequoia prove otherwise on Couple Two Tree.

Very, very kind words, my friend. Thanks so much! You can read the entire review here.

We’ve released Couple Two Tree on our Bandcamp page. Recorded, engineered and mixed by Allen Epley and Eric Abert of The Life and Times, I think it’s safe to say we had a blast making this beast. We’re streaming it for free, or you can pick it up for $10 cool dollars so you can take it with you anywhere.

There will be some sort of physical release in the future. We’re hoping for a little help from a label, maybe even start a kickstarter, but rest assured there will be some type of something that you can hold in your hands…sometime soon.

We’re so close….so very close! We’re now in the “final tweak” stage of the recording process. Al and Eric have worked their magic, combining it with ours to make it magjamical.

Carl Saff will be mastering once we’re all done being twiddling knobs, which should be this weekend. Looking to master next week or the following.

This is, without a doubt, our best record and we can’t wait to share it with your mother.

Hello there and welcome to our new website. Hopefully we can update this more frequently than we have in the past and let you know what we’re up to. Also, we consider this site still under construction, so please bear with us.

On June 18th-21st we will go to Matt Talbott’s Great Western Record Recorders (the soon-to-be renamed Earth Analog) in Tolono, IL to record our next-best-full-length record, entitled Couple Two Tree, with Allen Epley and Eric Abert of The Life and Times. The outcome is sure to be absolutely fantastic. This also marks the first record we’ll record with Mr. Cully Johnston, who has been with us for three years now and it’s well overdue that we record the rest of the fine tunes we’ve written with him.

We haven’t quite decided what format we’ll be brining these tunes to you, but we’re hoping for a Fall release if all goes well.

One last note; we’re playing a last-minute show before we head to Tolono at Quenchers on June 1st with Sunken Ships (ex-Sybris) and The Ladies and Gentlemen. We start off the show at 9pm SHARP. If you haven’t been to Quenchers, it’s an absolutely great place to drink great beer, eat fantastic food and listen to awesome music. We’ll see you there.
